JUMC and Morris Chapel UMC have a history together?

Because the folks at Morris Chapel UMC are preparing now for a milestone birthday next year, historian Sandra Carter has been in touch with us regarding our shared heritage.

Morris Chapel and Jonesboro were on a circuit together for many years so that the same pastors served both churches.

Portraits of those pastors were loaned for copying before being returned to their usual places in the hallway behind the sanctuary. They made the trip to Jimmy Haire's Studio and back in less than an hour! Miss Daisy Cox's history of JUMC will also be useful for remembering the years in common.
