JUMC UMWomen Reach Beyond Sanford

UMW National Assembly 2010   St. Louis, Missouri

JUMW President, Patricia Pemberton, reports that the National Assembly was an incredible Global Experience. The "Dome," as the Edward Jones complex is called, was a canopy under which God shed his grace and His glory for three very inspirational days in St. Louis. Seven thousand  Methodist women gathered in the name of Jesus to see, feel, sense "Faith, Hope, and Love in Action." Patricia traveled with thirty-one North Carolina delegates on a Christian Tours motor coach through Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, and Tennessee crossing beautiful mountains, rivers and plains to arrive at the city with the arch. We experienced storms and torrential rains on our trip home. Our route was detoured because of flood waters. A hedge prayer was felt around us and the bus became the church extended. Praise God! Patricia has lots of pictures and a DVD ready to show. Just ask.

UMW Eastern Conference Spiritual Growth Retreat in Smithfield, May 7 & 8

Our UMW president
, Patricia Pemberton, along with 165 other women gathered at Centenary United Methodist Church in Smithfield for a two-day spiritual growth retreat May 7-8. Inspirational music, time for fellowship, fun, good food, exceptionally warm hospitality, an entertaining program and communion provided us with something worth writing home about. Our state Spiritual Growth Leader, Joanne Stafford, and her staff planned a time apart that was refreshing and uplifting.
